NeSmith Announces 2013 Touring Division Schedule

NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS ANNOUNCES 2013 TOURING DIVISION SCHEDULE


CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has announced its 2013 Touring Division schedule with 21 confirmed dates over nine weekends at 13 different tracks in seven different states. The NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS will return to ten tracks from the 2012 season, and will visit three new tracks for the first time.

Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL will bookend the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division schedule by opening and closing the season with two blockbuster events.

The first stop of the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season will see five races in five nights for Speedweeks from January 29 through February 2. The 2013 season will conclude with the 100-lap $10,000-to-win 9th Annual Chevrolet Performance Parts World Championship Race on November 28-30.

The five-race series will feature a separate point with cash and contingencies worth over $20,000 and paying back 30 spots. The first four Speedweek events at Bubba Raceway Park from January 29 through February 1 will be 40-lap races that pay $2,000-to-win, and the finale on the fifth night on February 2 will be 50 laps and pay $3,000-to-win.

The run for the 2013 NeSmith Cup and the $20,000 Championship will resume on April 12-13 at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS with the $5,000-to-win 3rd Annual Rumble On The Gumbo 75. The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series returns to Greenville Speedway on October 3-5 for the $5,000-to-win 7th Annual Gumbo Nationals 60.

The Memorial Day Holiday Weekend will feature a three-race extravaganza for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series with 40-lap $2,000-to-win races at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS on May 24, Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS on May 25, and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on May 26.

Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA will host the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division on May 31 with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race. The series will be in action on June 1 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN for the $4,000-to-win 2nd Annual J.T. Kerr Memorial 40.

The July 4th Holiday Weekend will feature another triple-header for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series beginning with a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL on July 4, followed by a 40-lap $2,000-to-win event at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL on July 5, and a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race at Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA on July 6.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will make its first-ever visit to Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on August 23. The series returns to 411 Motor Speedway for its second race of the season there with a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event on August 24.

Two historic tracks in the history of Dirt Late Model racing will host the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series for the first time with the first two events of a triple-header Labor Day Weekend.

Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR will present a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on August 30, followed by a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO on August 31. The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will make its second visit of the season to Magnolia Motor Speedway on September 1 for a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race.

There are also several Open dates on the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series schedule. Series officials are currently in negotiations with several tracks in an effort to fill those dates.
